A world at prayer is a world at peace: don’t miss the nationwide rosary rally!

The family that prays together, stays together. (Ven. Patrick Peyton)
The family is the foundation of society, made to be a community of love drawn into the communion of love between each person of the Trinity. It is no surprise, then, that Satan attacks families.
Rather than writing a reflection this week, I want to share a tremendous opportunity. On Sunday, September 7 at 1:30pm ET, a rosary rally will be held in honor of the 75th anniversary of Fr. Patrick Peyton’s rosary rallies! It will be broadcast online for those who cannot attend in person. I wrote about Fr. Peyton and his incredible rallies two years ago, which can be found here. Up to 2 million people attended a single rally. Father David Marcham, Vice Postulator for the Cause of Venerable Patrick Peyton, has been providing a series of short videos on each part of the rosary. The videos are enlightening as well as meditative; excellent for families to watch together; and provide a beautiful introduction to the rosary for Catholics and non-Catholics alike. To sign up for the videos and information on the September 7th rally, click here. The videos can be found here . I have found Fr. Marcham’s videos to be a blessing and hope they will be for you as well.
Separately from this…
“The Lord did not say, come follow me, I’m fascinating. He was not a 1st century Tik Tok influencer.” This is from Fr. Ben Kiely’s latest gospel nugget at Nasarean https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XxsuGiq32Es Nasarean is an organization that supports persecuted Christians in the middle east, primarily by helping them start their own businesses to support their family and the families of their employees. This allows them to stay in their homelands. They also establish shrines to Our Lady of Persecuted Christians, most recently in Iraq. Their work is inspiring and Fr. Ben’s 4-min gospel nuggets always cut right to the point.
Meanwhile, Fr. Tony Lusvardi reminds us to keep focused on Jesus: “Keeping in mind the fact that Christianity is a team sport is important because we Christians aren’t immune from a spirit of rivalry that provokes us to try to trip others up. And if we spend time tripping others up, we aren’t getting any closer to the finish line ourselves.” https://tonylusvardisj.com/2025/08/17/eyes-fixed-on-jesus-homily-for-the-20th-sunday-of-ordinary-time/
Lastly, the latest from the National Eucharistic Revival follows, which has great ideas on keeping our sights on Jesus.
Don’t forget to fast and pray Friday for world peace! https://www.catholicnewsagency.com/news/266075/pope-leo-xiv-calls-for-fasting-and-prayer-for-peace-on-friday-aug-22
Ad Majorem Dei Gloriam 😊

Thank you for caring and sharing appropriately...
