We are the answer to change
The sincerity of our prayer reflects the sincerity of heart, and God responds. The answer to the crisis of today is converted hearts, beginning with our own.

Sacred space
Our society has lost its understanding of the sacred and so instead props up false idols and ideologies. Some create a false sense of sacredness while others are bent on destroying that which is truly sacred.
What is sacred?
Straws
For the deliberations of mortals are timid, and uncertain our plans. For the corruptible body burdens the soul and the earthly tent weighs down the mind with its many concerns. (Wisdom 9:14-15)
Making truth my identity
Truth has been dismantled in our society. But for we who are made in His image and likeness, He who is the Way, the Truth, and the Life (John 14:6) becomes our identity.
Created for happiness
Our nature, and that of every creature, has a two-fold character to it: a reflection of His beauty, and the purpose of serving Him. True happiness is only found by living both fully. And we live our humanity to its fullest when surrendered to God’s love.
A weed is a flower in the wrong spot
On any summer day, the boulevard drive along our waterfront is edged in masses of wildflowers. A variety of sizes, shapes, species, and colors are represented. As nature sows these, the plants are mixed together seemingly without any scheme or design. Yet in God’s design they collectively harmonize as a floral carpet adorning the roadway.
At least that is one way to see it. Others, however, may see these as a mess of weeds.
Gifts
Gifts come in all sizes and shapes, and in the spiritual life can come in the most unexpected of ways.

Personhood
The human body, as well as the human individual, is now believed to be a means to an end rather than an end in itself. That ultimate end is no longer eternal happiness in God but, rather, emotional and carnal satisfaction in the present. The human’s consciousness is focused on what they are rather than ‘who’.
