Heroic Virtue
We forget that our free-will acts of virtue are blessed with grace and gifts by God that impart a supernatural quality to their effect. With that in mind, how can our small acts of sacrifice and virtue be anything other than heroic?

Many in the world today are in despair. The smog of hopelessness has taken over their hearts. They never have known, or have forgotten, His merciful love and forgiveness.
For many, our future looks dark and grim because they have lost the light of faith. Jesus is the only cure to hopelessness, and His love is our key to happiness. But we cannot share that which we do not possess. For love of country, we must first allow ourselves to be loved by God.

The one and very same God who built the mountains, anchored the seas, and lit the heavens with stars will be born this very night. Yet He, the light of Glory, hid His glory and became small. The Advent of the Christ child has finally begun! It is a season to grow in profound understanding of God’s “smallness” by joining Him in becoming little ourselves. He belongs in the palace of our heart yet instead is relegated to the outskirts of our life as we busy ourselves with worldly things. Advent is the time to make Him the center of our life each day and send worldly attachments into exile.
The world is in chaos. The country is a mess. Within the Church divisions have solidified. In some minds, what appears to be an absence of God becomes false rationale to prove there is no God.
Yet all of this sets the stage for God’s glory to shine.
